Biography

French jockey, winner of the Arc de Triomphe in 1927, riding Mon Talisman, 1931 riding Pearl Cap and in 1932 riding Motrico. This is the biggest race in Europe, held at Longchamp in Paris. The world's fastest thoroughbreds compete in the 2,400 meter classic distance (approx. 1 1/2 miles) This internationally renowned sporting event is the most highly prized competition for fans of flat racing.

He died in 1972.
