Claudio Scimone (1975)


Italian conductor and composer, and founder of the chamber music group "Solisti Veneti." He dedicated his career mainly to 18th century repertory and the works of Rossini. He was the conductor of I Solisti Veneti chamber orchestra and the director of Pollini Conservatory of Padua. Scimone was awarded the "Viotti d’Oro" in 1990.

Claudio Scimone died on 6 September 2018, aged 83.
