Biography
German composer and conductor. He started out as an assistant stage manager in 1892 and then moved up to chorus master in 1902. He was the General Music Director of Opera at Stuttgart from 1911, as well as heading up the Berlin Opera from 1919 to 1925. He composed four operas, the best of which was "Mona Lisa," in 1915.
Died 7/24/1933 in Berlin.
