German writer whose first book Stories for Big and Small People appeared in 1899. This was followed by about 60 other books, many of them autobiographical in nature, all influenced by pietism and close to nature. She died by suicide on 7 August 1945 at age 77 in Tubingen.
Birth record quoted in Arno Muller, vol 3.
Sy Scholfield later provided Lutheran Church birth and baptism entry (1867, no. 607), with same data, born at 5 AM. The rating was thus upgraded to BC/BR in hand.
