Italian physicist and chemist who specialised in electrochemistry and electrometallurgy. He was involved in various areas such as viscosity, diffusion, osmotic pressure, transport numbers, radioactivity, electrical polarization phenomena, electric ovens, and cast iron electrolysis. He was a Member of the Lincei Academy. He died in San Remo on 16 March 1955, aged 79.
