Biography
Belgian biologist and Inspector of the Health Service, who specialized in social medicine, and conducted research on plant palaeontology, describing several new species of fossil plants. Sauveur participated in the publication of the Nouvelle Pharmacopée belge (New Belgian Pharmacopoeia) of 1854. He died in Liège on 1 November 1862, aged 65.
