Biography
Italian writer, one of the most widely read novelists of the 20th century; also a playwright. He is well known for "The Sea Hawk," "Captain Blood" and Scaramouche," adventure epics that were made into Hollywood films.
He died in February 1950, Adelboden, Switzerland.
