Biography
French criminal, involved in the terrorist attacks in Casablanca on 16 May 2003 which left more than 40 people dead and hundreds injured.
He converted to Islam at the age of 17 or 18 years in a Turkish mosque located a few kilometres from his home town.
Arrested in June 2003 in Morocco, he was sentenced to life in prison there. After being threatened in jail after converting to Catholicism, he was transferred to France and imprisoned in Paris in May 2012; his sentence automatically reduced to 10 years under French law.
