Biography

German politician of the German People's Party (German: Deutsche Volkspartei, or DVP) who belonged to the Reichstag of the Empire from June 1916 to 1918, after he won a by-election in the constituency of Heidelberg. He was a member of the Weimar National Assembly in 1919-1920 and subsequently belonged to the Reichstag until 1928. From 11 May 1921 to 1928 he was vice-president of the Reichstag. He died on 6 May 1932 in Berlin, aged 78.
