American mime, impressive as a "living statue," a fragile
man the color of a tree with leaves and branches in green and silver sprouting from his limbs: very attractive but also a little bit sinister. His facial expression was serious, just showing a very slow but intensely gracious movement with the hands or his head when someone threw a coin in his cup. People were gathering around him, children wanted to touch him and make him move, but he radiated an intensity that kept them from becoming a real nuisance.
His courage and mindset, (so different!) aroused curiosity, and what his chart would look like.
Later that day the tree-man was seen sitting at the cafe newspaper table and reading quietly, in his green outfit.
He told me he was involved in a Center for Spiritual Education, where he also had his home. At another time he was seen as a dark-bronze statue of some traveler: also most impressive!
Sander Littel quotes him late 2001
