Biography
French physician, a doctor at the Hopital de la Pitié, who received the cross of the Legion of Honour for his zeal in fighting cholera in the Vaucluse. He was Secretary General of the Medical Society of Hospitals and Vice-President of the Society of Medicine of Paris (in 1851), and Professor of Clinical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine of Paris (1851). His books include Notice médicale sur Naples (1833), Hygiène de l’étudiant et du médecin (1838), Des purgatifs (1839), and Éléments de pathologie médicale (1843-1845). He died on 31 December 1854 in Paris, aged 51.
