Biography

Scottish born guitarist for "The Jesus and Mary Chain", a feedback-driven guitar band he co-founded with his brother Jim in 1983. The band gained early renown not only for their blistering sound, but also their short twenty-minute concerts that broke into riots on a few occasions.

The band broke up after a disastrous performance at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on 12 September 1998, but reformed in March 2007.
