French stage and silent film actor and member of the Comédie-Française. He appeared in more than forty movies between 1908 and 1932, including La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc (1927) by Carl Theodor Dreyer, in which he played Jean Beaupère.

Ravet died on 7 April 1933, aged 62, in Joinville-le-Pont, France.
