Siegfried Rösch

Biography

German mineralogist and colour theorist who became known for adding the colour body to the CIE system. He also worked in mathematics, sundials, archiving, photography, harmony and genealogy.

From 1933 he was a scientific employee of the company Leitz in Wetzlar, where he was involved in the development of the famous 35mm Leica camera.

He died on 22 January 1984 in Wetzlar, aged 84.
