Yves Rénier

French-Swiss stage and film actor, director, and screenwriter, widely known for the TV series Commissaire Moulin. He performed in many other TV series such as Belphégor, Globe-trotters, and Dolmen, and was offered many film roles.

As a director specializing in French criminal cases, he directed Jacqueline Sauvage (2018), starring Muriel Robin, and La Traque (2021), about Michel Fourniret, starring Philippe Torréton.

His parents were dramatist Max Régnier and an English mother. He had four children with three different mothers, the last (Lola) in 2000 with actress Hélène Zidi. He died of a heart attack on 24 April 2021 in Neuilly-sur-Seine at age 78.
