Biography
Greek educator, head of the Platonic Academy of Athens and translator of Ptolemy’s "Tetrabiblios" into Latin. Proclus was the last of the major Greek philosophers, and he was influential in helping Neoplatonic ideas to spread throughout the Byzantine, Islamic and Roman worlds. "Elements of Theology" was his most important work.
His father was a noble, rich Lycian, Patricius, and his mother was Marcella. He grew up at Xanthus, and he was destined to practice law. He studied philosophy with Olympiodorus the Elder at Alexandria and showed a gift for words. Although his maternal language was Greek, and he wrote in Greek throughout his life, he studied Latin extensively. He went on to study at Athens with the Greek philosophers, Plutarch and Syrianus, whom he succeeded as head of the Academy founded by Plato. He was opposed to Christianity and a passionate defender of paganism, believing that thoughts, rather than concrete ‘things,’ comprise reality. Proclus influenced Christian theology, both East and West.
Taken ill while at Xanthus, he reportedly he saw a vision of Apollo who touched him and healed him. Proclus died 14 April 485.

Source Notes
The original source notes said, "Cyril Fagan in American Astrology 6/1968 quotes "Thomas Taylor, "Life of Proclus" for February 8, 412 CE.
Google Books holds Taylor's book, which has the title "The philosophical and mathematical commentaries of Proclus on the first book of Euclid's Elements", Volume 1. In it is the Life of Proclus, by Marinus. It is not clear whether Taylor translated that part from Greek or Latin.
On page 31 there is a natal chart of Proclus, assigned to Fabricius. It is astronomically a bit inconsistent, giving the Sun at 20°26' Aqu, Moon at 17°29 Gem, Ascendant 8°19 Aries, MC 4°42 Cap., Saturn at 24°26 Tau, Jupiter at 24°41 Tau. The birth time of 9.05 LMT (8.49 LAT) is a good approximation for MC, Ascendant, Sun and Moon. Saturn and Jupiter are possibly doctored to make it appear as if it was a great conjunction, Venus is off by 7 degrees and Mars by three degrees.
