French surgeon and medical writer, trained in Lyon and then in Paris, who practised in Paris, and was a member of numerous medical societies and taught at the Faculty of Medicine of Paris. He was a Member of the Academy of Medicine, elected to the anatomy and physiology division on 13 July 1880. He died on 23 May 1902, aged 66.
