Biography
Swiss bells spook.The Holligen Castle near Berne was in the year 1816 the place of a strange story without a solution.In the house of the Mutach family two bells were suddenly ringing,but nobody had used them.As there was no reason to see three physicians were called.First rats were suspected or someone making himself fun.As both bells were isolated the ringing went on.Even strings didn't stop it.When they were taken away,the two bells hung free,but nothing changed.Also a secret mechanism was searched,but there was none.After 5 days finally it was over.The month had been very rainy (the year without summer because of the Tambora eruption 1815).
