Biography
French poltergeist case at Cideville during 1850-1851. Two boys, Gustave and Bunel (aged 12 and 14), stod in the centre of what happened after 26 November. Household items were flying through the rooms and landed softly, even hammers. Many raps were heard, exactly giving correct answer if asked about names or dates with the number of raps. 34 witnesses testified to these actions which were strong if the boys were alone.Tinel, curé, was master of his pupils which were also sleeping in rooms of the church. But Gustave had the feeling being followed by a ghost and he thought it could be a shepherd called Thorel. This one wanted a process because of slander; 7 January 1851 it began in Yerville, where the witnesses told their observations. The shepherd's blame was denied, the truth of the sayings about the poltergeist confirmed. The case has never found a solution, but after two months, in February, it was all over.
