Biography
Brazilian ruler, the country's last emperor, he had two older brothers who died before he was born. Dom Pedro II was crowned 6/18/1841 at age 15. He was overthrown by a peaceful revolution 11/15/1889 and went to Portugal two days later.
Very intelligent, he was a patron of the arts and ruled a peaceful and prosperous kingdom. He married Teresa Cristina 5/30/1843; four kids.
He died of pneumonia 12/05/1891, Paris, France.

Sy Scholfield forwarded news report stating same time from "Der Friedens- u. Kriegs-Kurier," 15 February 1826: "Den 2. Dezember [1825] um halb drei Uhr die Kaiserin von einem Prinzen glücklich entbunden worden." (On the 2nd of December [1825] the empress happily gave birth to a prince at two-thirty in the morning).
(Martin Harvey gives the same data in Nativitas I but corrects the chart for LAT, apparently, as he shows a chart for 2:17 AM: 20 Libra ASC.)
