Conrad Patzig


German naval officer, an admiral in the Second World War, promoted to Vice Admiral on 1 January 1940 and made Admiral on 1 April 1942.

From 8 May 1945 to 15 March 1946 Patzig was in British captivity. In the post-war years, he worked from August 1955 to November 1957 in an advisory capacity in the Personnel Committee for the recruitment of senior officers in the German Navy.

Conrad Patzig died on 1 December 1975 in Hamburg, aged 87.
