Biography

French doctor, recognized as one of the initiators of sanitation as a means of preventive medicine as it is conceived today. Convinced of the importance of social regulation for the treatment of certain diseases, in particular tuberculosis, he actively participated in the creation in 1920 of the Office of Social Hygiene (OHS) of Meurthe-et-Moselle.

His books include Les glandes endocrines et leur valeur fonctionnelle; méthodes d'exploration et de diagnostic (1923), L'organisation de la lutte antituberculeuse dans le cadre départemental (1928), etc.

He died in Nancy on 7 October 1967, aged 85.
