Biography

French forest conservator, who was Director of the Forestry School of Nancy from 1838 to 1864. He died in Amélie-les-Bains, Pyrénées-Orientales, on 30 November 1864, aged 62. He wrote the 1855 textbook, Cours élémentaire de culture des bois (Elementary course of wood cultivation). He is the subject of the 1964 biography, Adolphe Parade: Direktor der Forsthochschule Nancy 1802-1864.
