Belgian civil engineer and educator, who made an important contribution in the field of spanning theory and accuracy measurements for machinery tools. He was a founding member of the International Institute for Scientific Study of Industrial Production Methods in 1951. He published numerous works and articles in his field. He died in Leuven on 5 November 1956, aged 59.
