Biography
French actor and opera singer, who appeared in more than 100 films between 1919 and 1953.
He performed opera at the Odeon Theatre and the Gaiety-Lyrique in Paris. With Louis Jouvet, he helped create Intermezzo (1933) and Ondine (1939), two theatre pieces by Jean Giraudoux.
He died on 10 August 1956 in Suresnes.
