Biography
French homicide. Violette murdered her father with poison and attempted the murder of her mom, who survived, on 21 August 1933. Her motive was to gain their savings as an inheritance. She was initially sentenced to death on 12 October 1934, but the sentence was commuted to life in prison on 24 December 1934.
A renewed passion for Catholicism served in securing her release in 1945, and in December 1946 she married Pierre Coquelet, the son of the prison bursar, whom she had met during her time in incarceration. The couple had four sons and a daughter.
She died of breast cancer on 28 November 1966.
