Biography

Tailor and Costa Rican politician. Unique African descent in the Costa Rican militant Communist Party during the 30s, HE was a writer and columnist for the Communist newspaper Labor. Spokesman of the Communist Party, which had very little support in the black population, HE was the first black in Costa Rica to be a candidate for a position having been elected deputy candidate for alderman of San José by the Communist Party in the elections of 1936.

He died in 2006 as a successful businessman.
