Belgian architect and brother-in-law of the stained-glass artist Samuel Coucke.

In 1873, he was appointed as a teacher of architecture at the Royal Academy of Brussels. He continued to practise this teaching until his death, and thus influenced the new generations of architects for forty years. He also became an architect of the city of Brussels.

Naert died on 16 November 1910.
