Biography

Belgian French-speaking politician, a member of the Socialist Party (Parti socialiste). He was part of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the Dutroux Affair, an experience he recounts in his 1997 book, Les cahiers d'un commissioner. He died from lung cancer on 20 July 2013 in Brussels at age 62.
