Biography

Spanish scholar, educator and writer. He was a professor at the University of Oñate. He obtained a professorship of Greek at the University of Salamanca and when this was suppressed became professor of Theory of Literature and Fine Arts and Greek at the University of Zaragoza.

He was a great scholar and translator of German, publishing several works of grammar (highlighting the German Grammar (Zaragoza, 1922) manuals to lear and an anthology of texts. He also translated some twenty works from German into Castilian in different fields.

He died 16 April 1942.
