German photographer and photojournalist, known as 'Germin.'
He took over one hundred thousand black-and-white photographs.
In 1961, he was commissioned by a trade union newspaper to cover Hamburg's "Top Ten Club" and by chance took photos of the then unknown Beatles. In the mid 1970s, he sold some of the photos to Paul McCartney for £30,000.
He died in 2001.
