Biography
Belgian priest and botanist who specialized in anatomy, cytology and plant morphology, with a particular focus on the study of plankton. His major scientific work is the analysis and description of the planktonic samples collected by Louis Stappers during the Arctic expedition organized in 1907 by the Duke of Orleans aboard the Belgica. He died in Leuven on 19 February 1918, aged 60.
