Biography

French criminal, a murderer who was sentenced to death and executed.

On 14 September 1931 at Maclas, he and his mistress, Isabelle Bard, killed Jean-Claude Martin, aged 34, his brother and her husband, with hammer blows to his head and slashes from a razor. The next day, after hiding the body in a barn, they threw it on a fire and burnt it to ashes.

Sentenced to death on 25 Febuary 1932, Martin was executed by guillotine in Montbrison on 7 July 1932 at 4:20 a.m.
