Biography
Infanta of Spain by birth and later the wife of Louis, Dauphin of France, son of Louis XV of France. She died on 22 July 1746 aged 20, while giving birth to a daughter who died in 1748. The child was baptised Marie Thérèse and was styled as Madame Royale.

Originally this entry had 6:55 AM (rated B) with Sy Scholfield quoting from "Le Grand Dictionnaire Historique Ou Le Mélange Curieux De L'Histoire Sacrée Et Profane" by Louis Moréri (Brandmuller, 1745), p. 835: "Marie-Téhrèse-Antoinette-Raphaël [sic], Infante d'Espagne, née à Madrid un peu avant les sept heures du matin, le 11. juin 1726." (Translation: "a little before seven o'clock in the morning").
On 17 April 2017 Scholfield changed the birth time to 11 AM (rated A), having forwarded news report from "Oprechte Haerlemsche courant," 4 July 1726, p. 1: "MAdrid den 12 Juny... Gifteren morgen ten 11 uuren is de Coningin van een Infante in 't Kraembed bevallen , die Maria-Theresia-Antonia-Raphaela is genaemt." (MAdrid, 12 June ... Yesterday morning at 11 o'clock the Queen gave birth to an Infante, named Maria-Theresia-Antonia-Raphaela).
