Princess of Prussia Margarete


German royalty, the youngest sister of Kaiser Wilhelm II. She lost three sons in world wars I and II.

She died in Kronberg, Germany on 22 January 1954, 53 years to the day after her British grandmother Queen Victoria.

Queen Victoria's journal, now available online, quoted on the following day: “I heard last night that dear Vicky had been safely (?) at 1/2 p. 10 with a daughter, her 8th child!”
