Biography
Spanish royalty, the third daughter of Queen Isabel II and her royal consort Francisco de Asís de Borbón. Her parents were cousins. The excessive inbreeding of the Royal Family at that time was the possible cause of death of the little Maria Cristina who died on 7 January 1854, when only two days old.
