Jean Pierre Magnet

Peruvian saxophonist, composer, music producer, and director, who came to fame as a member of Peruvian rock band Traffic Sound (1967-1972). The band recorded covers of Jimi Hendrix, The Rascals, The Animals, and Iron Butterfly. Traffic Sound recorded four albums, A Bailar Go Go, Virgin, Traffic Sound and Lux, with "Meshkalina" becoming their greatest hit.

After Traffic Sound disbanded, Magnet studied music theory, flute and jazz in Argentina and the USA. In Peru, he organized five jazz festivals and established several bands.
