Biography

Scottish stage, film, and television actor best known for portraying Robb Stark in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011-2013) and Prince Kit in Disney's Cinderella (2015). For his performance as Stark he was co-nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, 2011 and 2013.

In 2016 he played the lead role in the Italian TV Series, The Medici: Masters of Florence, starring as Cosimo de Medici, the son of the founder of the Medici Bank (Giovanni) during the Italian Renaissance.

Madden had a relationship with actress Jenna Coleman, which ended in 2015. He has also dated TV presenter Laura Whitmore, model Suki Waterhouse, and actress/model Ellie Bamber whom he dated between summer 2017 and December 2018. In May 2019 Madden was photographed frequently in the company of openly-gay actor Brandon Flynn, who formerly dated out singer Sam Smith. Speculation ensued about whether Madden and Flynn were romantically involved. Asked about this, Madden told the New York Times: “I just keep my personal life personal,” he said. “I’ve never talked about my relationships.”
