Biography
Scottish leader of the Labour Party who also was the Opposition in the House of Commons. He was noted as a fiery and outspoken speaker, as well as a public reformer. He became Prime Minister in January 1924 and again from 1929-1935. He resigned due to a crisis in 1931, but became P.M. again at the next general election.
He died at sea on a visit to South America on 9 November 1937.
