Biography
French Senegalese-Guinean rapper, whose music is the precursor of "Afro Trap", a mixture of African music and trap music. He is also part of the rap collective 19 Réseaux with other rappers.
His eponymously titled debut album MHD was released on 15 April 2016 on Artside / Capitol Records. The 15-track album contains collaborations with Fally Ipupa and Angélique Kidjo.
In January 2019, Sylla's name was cited in an investigation about an affair dating back to July 2018, when a 23-year-old man was killed in Paris during what had been reported as a fight between rival street gangs. Police identified Sylla as the owner of a car that was used by suspects. Sylla was taken into custody by French police on 15 January 2019, two days later, he was indicted and charged with voluntary manslaughter.
