French sailor and mountain climber nicknamed "Captain" (French: 'Le Captain'). One of the great skippers of the 1980s, he changed tack and become an alpinist in the 1990s, and climbed Mount Everest in May 2003. He is the organizer of 'Trophée Mer Montagne.'
