Biography
French singer who made her debut in 1885 at the Alcazar in Marseille. She performed at all major Parisian venues: La Cigale (1895), the Concert Parisian in rue de l'Échiquier, the Alcazar d'été, the Alhambra, the Scala, Parisiana Boulevard Poissonniere, and the Folies Bergere, etc.
She made her official stage farewell at the Palace in 1936, aged sixty-six. Two years later, she opened a singing school.
Lekain died on 2 March 1960, aged 89, in Nice, France.
