Biography
Belgian criminal suspect, whose case was dismissed due to lack of sufficient evidence and no plausible motive.
He was the main commissioner of the judicial police of Mons, when he was suspected of the murder of Inspector Simon Poncelet, aged 30, who was shot dead on 21 February 1996 at around 11:30 p.m. CET in the hall of the JP's offices in Mons.
Leclercq was placed under an arrest warrant on 21 February 1998 and his case dismissed on 7 September 2004. Poncelet's killer has not been found.
