Source Notes

Translation: So, on 27 August 1901, when the Swedish-born Inger Hansen thanked the practicing midwife Margrethe Petersen for helping with the birth of her fifth daughter, no one suspected that a prima ballerina had been born. And the midwife could then note in the documentation that at No. 30 Frem in Lyngby was born a fully-fledged, live girl; that the birth had lasted five hours; and the baby was born at two o'clock in the afternoon.
