Biography
French actress, daughter of former minister of culture, Jack Lang (2 September 1939).
Valérie Lang trained as an actress at CNSAD (Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatiquede) in Paris between 1989 and 1992. From 1992 to 1998, she was a member of the team Nordey at the théâtre des Amandiers in the Paris suburb Nanterre. From 1998 to 2001, she was co-director with Stanislas Nordey of Théâtre Gérard Philipe in Saint-Denis, another Paris suburb. Besides the theatre, she acted in many films and on TV.
In 2007, she joined the center-left party MoDem and served as a candidate in elections on the department level.
She died from a brain tumor on 22 July 2013.
