Source Notes
AA 10/1936 quotes a friend and neighbor who said the baby had been born around noon within an hour more or less. AA 1/1937 confirms the quote "from a correspondent who was a neighbor, born on the same day."
(The Editor added that other times had been given such as 6:38 AM from Astrology Bulletina and 11:30 AM from Nella Webb. PC computes Sabian Symbols No.544 (no time given) for 12:00 Noon.)
In July 2005 Sy Scholfield sent a piece from the New York Times quoting Landon's nurse. The article was entitled "Landon to Greet Babyhood Friends; Time will be Taken at Pennsylvania Birthplace for a Reunion with 4 Elderly Women"; by James Hagerty, August 17, 1936, p. 1: "Baby Alfred was born about noon. I don't know the exact time but it was between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M."
