French swimmer, a co-winner of the 100M backstroke in the 2011 World Swimming Championships in Shanghai. He and Jeremy Stravius (viz.) finished the swim with the same time of 52.76 seconds. He won the European championships in 2010, and the world championships (50m backstroke) in 2013 and 2015. In the 100m backstroke, he finished 2nd (silver medal) in 2015. He won twice (50m and 100m) at the 2016 European championships.Then he won the gold at the 2017 Budapest world championships (50m) before retiring.

Married in 2013 with ex-Miss France Valéie Bègue, they have a daughter, Jazz.

Born 5 days after Jo-Wilfrid Tsonga, French tennis player.
