Biography

French philosopher and indologist.

A former student of the Ecole Normale Superieure, philosophy Associate in 1928, Doctor in 1939, holds the chair of history of philosophy and comparative philosophy of the Faculty of Letters of Lille 1947 to 1959 he was the Faculty Dean from 1954 to 1959, professor of philosophy at the Sorbonne and then compared at the University of Paris IV until 1974, he was elected member of the Academy of moral and Political Sciences in 1977, the chair of Georges Davy.

Lacombe died on 2 July 2001 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, at the age of 97.
