Biography

French Admiral (Vice Admiral) of the French navy in the Second Empire active during the Crimean War.

He was also a naval engineer specialising in steam engines, propeller propulsion and iron hulls.

He died on 22 August 1871 at Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
