German climatologist who published numerous writings on meteorology, especially climatology. He dealt mainly with the fields of agricultural and bioclimatology as well as with the world climate catastrophe. Karl Knoch has been described as the father of German climatology.
He died on 8 January 1972, aged 88, in Offenbach am Main, Germany.
